The change in sardine count is often due to seasonal availability or sustainability regulations. It’s possible your last purchase coincided with one of these factors. Some brands still prioritize consistency in their packing, so checking labels might help. After all, finding the perfect can of sardines can feel like fishing for treasure! 😊

    • I like them small, double layered packed in oil. Open a can; throw them on a paper plate and season them with Cajun Power Spicy 🌶️ Mustard. Pick up a cocktail fork, begin eating and enjoy! A cracker or two can add to the pleasure at times. Mostly I simply like them ‘all by themselves.’

  3. I like to eat my Sardines like the British do. I butter a piece of sourdough bread and break up the Sardines on the bread. Then, I lightly sprinkle with apple cider vinegar and pepper. Oh so good! They are just good with butter and mustard too or just butter. Sometimes, I enjoy them on a Saltine with mustard. Sardines are a great snack! Oh so rich in Omega 3!
